Pantone Color Of the year- Classic blue as “timeless and enduring hue elegant in its simplicity,” according to Pantone. It’s similar to the sky at dusk with qualities that make it versatile, yet thought-provoking as well.
Well, there has been some criticism on picking up classic blue as a safe and boring color this year. But I like it! It has tons of options in the clothing department, and even in interior design for that matter. You can check out my previous styling of Pantone colors here and here. And I believe this color is already hanging in your closet.
The classic blue is a staple already in men’s clothing. Women can make a statement in this color without seeming to look for attention. The classic style of wearing white and blue has been timeless, but you can mix it up with different fabrics and color combinations to amp up the look. Silk or rayon can bring out the color well.
Ways to wear classic blue-
- Wear shades of blue within one piece- as I did for this post today. I chose a monochrome office look.
- You don’t have to worry about the color pairings because it can surprise you on how well it complements most of the colors.
- Test out a bold blue eyeliner or even a lipstick?
Tell me in the comments, how would you incorporate this color in your life?
