What time is it? It’s summer time! ( Cue in High School Musical 2 song)
Spring summer is not all about floral prints and de-cluttering the closet! Tie & Dye pattern has made a comeback this year.
It first gained popularity in the 80’s Hippie style but judging by the runways, the tie & dye pattern feels fresher. Proenza Schouler implemented it into denim whereas Prada applied it to mini dresses and skirts.
As ELLE Magazine mentioned, “Wonky Couture” as one of the top trends of 2019, which is bubble sleeves, ruffles, volume dresses, and swirls of taffeta, even I tried implementing it into my daily wear.
I paired my tie & dye poncho with a ruffle printed skirt giving it a wonky but comfy look. More of pret-a-porter and less of couture! Anyway, This poncho I picked up from Sunday Soul Sante and can be styled as an off shoulder, and as one shoulder too. My staples include pieces which can be worn in multiple ways just like this top.
Whether you’re going off to an exotic location or just going out for brunch, the outfit should be effortless, and this poncho is pretty cool and very comfortable for the summer.
I finished the look with some minimal looking jewelry and a pop of color in the footwear.
I dont remember the poncho’s brand name but the person puts up the stall in almost every Soul Sante I have visited in Hyderabad.
So, this sunday the flea market is coming back, and I will check out the brand and let you guys know.
Also, my best friend Meghalika is putting up a stall “Heart Works” wherein the products are all handmade and organic. I will be present there! Do come and visit!
