“How you doin”?

You might have guessed by the title about today’s post. Yes, I am doing an inspired look from F.R.I.E.N.D.S TV show.  Why Friends? Why not! It is the most iconic sitcoms everrr! And no doubt it is my favourite of all. I know the show has ended a decade back and I have watched it over hundred times and the show still manages to make me laugh every time. As once Monica Geller said, “Welcome to the real world! It sucks but you’re going to love it”. Could friends be a more realistic description of 20 something? The show addressed the matters of relationship, careers and settling down.  Well who doesn’t have a soft corner for this show!

So,for my first look I chose Rachel Green because she rocked the chic look.  She was the biggest contribution to the look of 90’s ,her plaid skirts, “The Rachel Haircut”, knee high boots with midi skirts and turtle necks. Later in the series her look gradually changed to business chic and the colors were neutral. I chose the first few seasons as my inspiration. Got a plaid skirt from the local market and paired it up with white v-neck top. The plaid skirt is not really a trend now but definitely a staple. Don’t you agree? This skirt can be styled for school girl look, business, casual chic look or even grungy style.

 

The second look is Phoebe Buffay, the wackiest of all. And hands down she is the ultimate Boho Queen. Her typical dressing style is maxi dress with cardigan or a jacket with big bags and lot of accessories. She completely rocked the bright colours. Which I personally like i.e. colour blocking! So I decided to do a look inspired from her for college going students. We cannot deny the comfort maxi dresses have and if the length is too long you can knot it at the bottom for walking ease.Hence, my absolute favourite. Hope you like the post.
