Digital Age Engagement- #SoMyRaghu

The last 48 hours have been a whirlwind, and I am still in a bit of a shock that this has finally happened. Since Raghu couldn’t make it to India, we decided to have an intimate digital engagement ceremony with close family and friends.

Raghu and I knew each other since 2010, from going to the same dance class to the same Engineering college, but only started going out officially way later. Most of our relationship went into being a long-distance one. But I always knew that we would make it because “we are part modern, part old-school.”

My Outfits:

I have been uploading wedding outfit ideas for a long time, and now it’s finally my time :D. I hopped onto the pastel trend for the first outfit and chose mint green, rose pink, and lavender color. (The main difference between lavender and lilac is that the lavender is a pale purple with a bluish tinge while the lilac is a pale purple with a pinkish tinge). The entire outfit materials are from “Mahila Art Center” Sultan Bazaar lane. I got the outfit stitched by Navya Dachepally.

The next outfit is a saree from VRK Heritage, Jubilee hills. If you follow me religiously on Instagram, you will know how much I love Binny silk sarees. I was forever looking for an emerald binny saree and luckily found it there. And you might also know how much I love color blocking, which I did with my bangles.

We got our simple engagement platinum bands from GRT Jewelers, and whereas a karigar made my gold jewelry.

I would have included my fiancé’s(feels strange using the word fiancé 😀 ) outfit pictures, but the mister hasn’t clicked any! (Men, I tell you!)

Decor:

I have received a ton of messages regarding the engagement decor. It has been done by my brother’s one of the best friends. He was so patient with me throughout. The decor turned out to be exactly the way I imagined. Here is the Instagram page link- The Day Makers. Very aptly put.
