Noah Centineo is not only the reason why we girls are swooning over the movie. The lead actress dressing style is edgy, yet it has a girl next door vibe which resonates with a lot of girls, don’t you think? Be it her combat boots, her favourite scrunchie or overalls, or the famous red pea coat I am totally fangirling over her outfits.
The costume designer of the movie Rafaella Rabinovich said, she took inspiration from 90’s Vogue magazine and K-Pop. The designer blended feminine vintage pieces with an edgy touch well.
So, I decided to recreate two outfits from the movie.
Outfit 1- The party outfit.
This outfit marks the first date with Peter Kavinsky. It is a super cute look, and the bomber jackets can never go out of style. Since I don’t own a blue bomber jacket, I paired it up with a blue shirt. The little black dress is a staple which every girl should own, and it can be styled in numerous ways.
Take a cue from Lara Jean and jazz it up.
Outfit 2- The Ski Trip.
The colour palette of the film was smartly done throughout if you observe the actress was given hints of pink clothing when she was fake dating Peter Kavinsky showcasing her moments of innocence, awkwardness. And gradually as the movie progressed, Lara Jean Covey became more confident and finally admitted her feelings for the boy, and that is when we start noticing red colour palette and famous pea coat.
I can see myself wearing this outfit when I am out with my friends. I don’t have a pea coat like Lara Jean hence I made do with the windbreaker jacket which I borrowed from my best friend. This outfit makes for a great winter look because of the light layering which just about right for the weather in Hyderabad.
