Here is a shortlist of 3 products that I regret buying. I usually don’t post much about the products I do not like. I don’t mean to put you off trying these, but to be honest, I would never recommend these products to anybody.
For a long time, I was in search of a good blue eyeliner. And, I ended up buying Sugar and Lakme products, which I absolutely regret.
Sugar cosmetics: Eye Told You So Smudge Proof Eyeliner.
Where do I even begin to talk about the product?
This product is more of a midnight blue color. It claims to be smudge-proof, which is partly true. But not at all water-resistant. Otherwise, It will stay on the eyelids for about 3-4 hours if you do not touch or splash water on your face. The eyeliner peels off so quickly just by a finger touch; you will be surprised! The only good thing about this product is the applicator/the wand, and it has a matte finish.
I see beauty influencers using Sugar Cosmetics products every other day, and I honestly cannot imagine buying another product from that brand. Because I have used their matte lipsticks, and they are not worth it. The creamy lipstick from this brand is alright to use, but the matte lipsticks leave my lips chapped within 30 minutes of application.
Lakme Insta Eyeliner- Blue
I love Lakme products because the brand is cruelty- free. And they have a fantastic range of products, but this eyeliner product isn’t one of them. I remember Lakme products have always been in my mom’s vanity kit and part of my growing years. This product is more of a cobalt blue, very apt for summertime. It is a very cheap product, and the quality is as low as the price. The applicator of this eyeliner is pathetic! You cannot get a precise line with this, and it took me nearly 15 minutes to apply it on my lids. Also, it is not very pigmented. It would help if you reapplied to fill in the gaps to make the eyeliner pop—overall disappointed with the product.
Dot & Key Underarm Detox Color Correction Mask
Don’t get fooled by the packaging. It is a total rip off of a Korean brand called Frudia. So many beauty influencers have been promoting this brand nobody called out the brand for copying. The brand has recently claimed to be reworking on the packaging; hence, I will not further dwell on that topic. Coming to this particular product, I have been using it for more than three months now, and I couldn’t even see a visible change in my underarms. The good thing about the product is the peppermint fragrance, cruelty-free, and it leaves your underarm feeling fresh and odor-free rather than even out your skin tone or lightening the pigmentation.
So, these products are a result of my bad judgment. However, what doesn’t work for me might work for you, so you’re always free to take a chance.
Until next time,
xo
