Carrie was way ahead of her time with her writing and fashion trends. Her outfits were sometimes wacky and ridiculous but mostly fabulous! I decided to recreate Carrie Bradshaw outfits as Sex & The City turned 20 years this June. Her iconic looks have made a come back in the fashion scene today, i.e., fanny pack, slip dresses, tulle skirts, tassels.
Her tulle skirt is arguably one of the major iconic outfits that she rocked throughout the show. So, I recreated a look from the scene where she goes to Paris with Alexandr Petrovsky but realises her true love is Mr. Big. I don’t have the exact outfit or the color, but I managed with whatever I had in my wardrobe.
Also, Carrie Bradshaw’s nameplate necklace was such a significant part of her character and her singlehood days, and she was the main reason why I got a nameplate necklace done just like her.

The second look is also inspired from her getaway to city of love. Much like her nameplate necklace Sarah Jessica Parker ( Carrie Bradshaw) was obsessed with large flower brooches and sported it on and off the show. Well, I couldn’t find one, so I made due with paper flowers from the arts & crafts section :D. I think it served the purpose.
