I had the perfect weekend at the Tower House Neemrana Hotel. The Neemrana hotels are the ones who have restored the beauty and history of India in the form of their hotels and resorts. And most importantly they offer the most fantastic experience while staying at their property.
And, I was thrilled when they invited me for a staycation at one of their non-hotel hotels in Cochin. Meenakshi and I stayed in their 17th-century property which is owned by 150 years old Pierce Lesley and managed by Neemrana. The property has a sea facing view and the famous Chinese fish nets.
About the property-
The Tower House transports you to a bygone era with huge doors and arches. The property has the old charm with modern amenities which made our weekend getaway a total bliss. The hotel has a sea facing view and the famous Chinese fish nets.
Coming to our room, we were allocated a large, spacious room with a warm heritage feel to it.
Since the hotel is a 13 room occupancy the big swimming pool is secluded at times, and you can enjoy it all by yourself. It was a favourite spot for Meenakshi and me to unwind and chill. The pool surrounded by a lot of greenery and big white windows in stark contrast makes the view eye pleasing.
Mr Kumar and his staff over the hotel are very welcoming and accommodating to all our last minute needs. Because of the sweet hospitality, our stay at the hotel was relaxing and pleasant.
The food service is running on a need basis. So, whenever you want to have your lunch or dinner or any snack, you need to inform the chef at least 30 minutes prior so that he can whip up your order real quick.
Well, I don’t try out new cuisines so please don’t expect reviews about the local cuisine. But what I can tell you is that the chef is talented and whatever we have ordered during our stay turned out to be delicious.
For breakfast, there is a buffet which consisted of a variety of bread, freshly cut fruits, also your South Indian meal like idli, poori aloo and upma.
Ayurvedic Spa Facility:
The spa room is on the ground floor near the pool area. Meenakshi and I were eagerly looking forward to experiencing the authentic spa service. Since it was off-season, the spa facility was closed for the day we wanted, but Mr Kumar being his sweet self-obliged to our request and arranged for it.
The Masseuse Mrs Sindhu has magic in her hands. She recommended us to go for their traditional Abhyanga spa which is a one-hour ayurvedic treatment.
They use body oil made from organic oils and herbs, and when applied on to your body it relaxes every cell in your body and leaves you rejuvenated at the end.
Some of the pictures from the property to convince you to pay a visit to this hotel:
You must visit this non-hotel hotel for your next vacation and witness the warm vibes and serenity.
And the good part about the hotel is that it is situated right across the Chinese fishing nets, Princess street which is a shopping hub for Fort Kochi is about 50 meters away, and St. Francis Church which takes 5 minutes to walk.
You can easily book a reservation from the website https://www.neemranahotels.com/
