A good friend of mine from my college is getting married, and I decided to do a series of posts on the outfits which I wore to the functions. The outfits which I decided are re-designed or restored from the clothes which I already have. Didn’t buy any new dress, just mixed and matched here and there which is what I always love to do.
You people might know how I love maxis and over the period of my blog, I have been talking about the ease and comfort of it. Hence, I decided to wear a black maxi for the sangeet. Ideally, black isn’t the first choice for us South Indians when it comes to auspicious events. But if you want to stand out in all the dazzling gold jewelry and silk sarees, then you should try this out. And, well black makes us look thin!
I paired my black maxi with a pink Kutch work blouse. Yes, it had to be pink! I purchased this blouse material from Nampally exhibition like three years ago! Glad it still fits me.
Coming to the footwear, I chose to wear gold flats because of all the dancing!
The last minute addition to the dress was my pink raw silk cropped pants. Realized it would be more comfortable dancing because the slit of the maxi was little too high for me.
Coming to the jewelry, I paired it with light weight Gota Patti earrings, some gold bangles, and color blocked clutch. I kept my neck bare because it would get all sweaty and irritating.
