Hey guys!
Today’s blog feature is something special. I have my college fashion show “The Hlabel Show and Sale 2016.” coming up, so I will be posting about my journey till the end of the show. The process, the side drama, the excitement and everything! You will find it here.
People tend to think that fashion designing is easy, but let me tell you fashion designing is an ART! Because the same amount of artistic expressions goes into creating garments .You need to be at the top of your game every time. Fashion designing has always been my main interest even while I was doing Engineering but I wasn’t sure where I would fit in the industry. Since, I have a knack for fashion, I finally decided to join HAMSTECH fashion design course.
The Hlabel fashion show is just like the major project in Engineering. It’s hard to believe that I am already in my final semester! *jitters*. Since, the beginning of this semester the college has been buzzing with the talks about the upcoming show, who will participate, which group should I team up with? What theme should we select etc etc. “Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street; fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.” – Coco Chanel. I was pretty much inspired by this quote. My interest for fashion has never and will never fade; it will just continue to grow. And since, I have been given this opportunity come what may; I wanted to participate in the show.
And finally the day arrived when the Hlabel team arranged a meeting with the students to discuss about the show. We all were really excited to be part of this. You get firsthand experience on what actually goes into making a fashion show. But we the students at Hamstech are fortunate enough because my college takes care of everything; procurement of the material, production cost, karigars, models basically everything. We just have to wave our magic wand! *wink*.
And coming to my outfit, I wore a short dungaree with a t-shirt inside for the casual chic look. And I completed my look with few mid rings and a hair band.
So stay tuned for more juicy updates on my journey!
